Originally vocation themselves Macabre End, the little Joe, like many of their friends, wound up at Stockholm's Sunlight Studios, where engine driver Tomas Skogsberg (before long to turn a scene icon himself) helped them record a three-song demonstration in September 1990. Bat For Lashes covers The Cure on new tribute

Bat For Lashes and Dandy Warhols are among the bands covering The Cure on a upcoming tribute album.

'Perfect As Cats: A Tribute To The Cure' is due out worldwide on October 28 and besides features Cure covers by Army Navy, Hecuba, Voyager One and Kaki King.


The album features 32 tracks and volition be released as a limited-edition double CD that includes blanket liner notes, as well is in digital formats.


Sales of the album will benefit Invisible Children, a charity that helps the impoverished children of Northern Uganda.
